New homes completed for Christmas

Residents in Broom are delighted to have moved into their brand new homes in time for Christmas.

With house prices and private rents soaring in Broom, Warwickshire Rural Housing Association offered a lifeline to local people by only offering its new homes to people with a connection to the village or its adjoining parishes.

Six affordable two bedroom homes - five for rent and one for shared ownership - were built on Aspley Close in partnership with developers, Orbit and Linfoot Country Homes.

By working closely with Warwickshire Rural Community Council and Bidford-on-Avon Parish Council, and with funding from Stratford-on-Avon District Council and the Homes & Communities Agency, WRHA was pleased to complete its first housing development in Broom ahead of schedule.

All the new homes were allocated at the start of November so that residents could settle in ready to enjoy their first Christmas in their new homes.

Development Officer, Neil Gilliver, said: “We hope that this Christmas will be the start of a very happy future for our new residents in Broom.”
