WRHA support #Housing Day 2019
Warwickshire Rural Housing Association is proud to be supporting #Housing Day 2019 today.
The annual Twitter event brings housing providers together to start a national conversation about the positive difference which social housing makes to millions of people across the country.
This year’s theme is ‘community investment’, something which is at the heart of WRHA.
Company Secretary, Richard Mugglestone, says: “For the past 30 years WRHA has been building communities, not just homes.
“If a rural community is to survive, its local services and community facilities need to be economically viable. The rural homes we provide enable local people to live in the villages in which they’ve been brought up, and where their friends and family live. They use their local shops and post offices, socialise in their village pub and send their children to the local school.
“Without this local demand for these key services, our rural communities simply cannot survive. All our homes are built specifically for local people so they can remain in the villages they love and help their communities to thrive.”
