Excitement rises over new homes!
Residents are getting excited that the finishing touches are being made to Warwickshire Rural Housing Association’s flagship new development at Wootton Wawen.
Warwickshire’s first Passivhaus affordable housing development is now almost complete, and the views from the 14 new properties are stunning.
WRHA Board member, Ruth Bagley, took the opportunity to have a sneak preview of one of the new homes when new residents, David and Yvonne Stanford, went to see the two bedroom property they will be moving in to early next month.
David, aged 68, said he and his wife were keen to stay in the village he had known since he was a child, but had been looking for a house more suited to their needs as they grew older.
“We’ve lived in Wootton Wawen for eight years now and have watched the new homes being built,” said David. “We’re really impressed with our new house. It looks ideal for us.
“I remember my dad bringing me down into Wootton Wawen to fish in the canal when I was a boy and I feel very lucky indeed to be living here now. We’ve heard a lot about the new properties and are very much looking forward to seeing the benefits of the latest technology for ourselves.”
