WRHA seeks new Board members

Skilled volunteers with a commitment to helping sustain rural communities through the provision of affordable housing, are being sought by Warwickshire Rural Housing Association (WRHA).

The award-winning charitable housing association has a number of vacancies for voluntary Board members keen to help to shape the future of specialist rural housing.

It is looking for committed individuals interested in helping this innovative organisation continue to make a big impact across the communities it serves.

Board members play a vital role in strategically guiding the work of WRHA and enabling the organisation to continue to break new ground and consistently deliver on its aims and objectives.

The housing association is particularly keen to hear from people with experience of financial management, welfare benefits and systems, housing management, diversity and safeguarding, and legal expertise, as well as those with a knowledge of social housing and community engagement.

Applications from women, people with disabilities and people from an ethnic minority background, are especially welcomed, and WRHA residents and those who live in social housing are actively encouraged to apply.

Derrick Dyas, Chair of WRHA, says: “Joining the WRHA Board is an excellent opportunity for people who are committed to the sustainability of Warwickshire’s rural villages.

“Our Board helps to ensure that the Association continues to deliver on its values and aspirations which, for the last 30 years, have resulted in high quality affordable homes for local people.”

Anyone interested in this role should download the recruitment pack and application form or call 0300 1234 009.  The closing date for applications is Monday 24th June.
