Top Award for House Builder Partner

It’s official!  Warwickshire Rural Housing Association is partnering with the UK’s most considerate housebuilder to provide affordable local homes for local people.

Great Alne-based Linfoot Country Homes has beaten thousands of other construction companies to be selected as an overall winner of the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s ‘Most Considerate Company in the UK’ award.

In 2005, we worked with Linfoot Country Homes to complete five affordable homes in Long Compton.  This was the first development to be built by a private housebuilder under the Stratford-on-Avon District Council Local Choice initiative which aims to help sustain village communities.

More recently, our partnership saw the completion of 13 affordable homes in Harbury in 2011 and 10 homes in Ilmington in 2014.

We’re currently on site in Broom where five properties for affordable rent and one for shared ownership are underway, while unanimous approval has been given for a development of seven affordable properties in Great Alne.

Neil Gilliver, Development Officer at WRHA, said: “I’m pleased that Linfoot Country Homes has received the recognition it deserves.  We’ve been working closely with the family firm for several years now and the standard of their housebuilding is exemplary.

“Through our partnership, we’re looking forward to bringing more affordable homes, in keeping with their rural surroundings, to Warwickshire’s villages.”
