Summer garden competition

summer garden competition

Last summer we noticed just how many of you have created wonderful gardens. And we think this year these need to be celebrated!!

So, if your garden is blooming marvellous, why not enter our Summer Garden Competition?

You don’t need to be an expert gardener to get involved…whether it’s a garden, flowerbed, trough, hanging basket or pots or you tend to a shared garden, we want to recognise our customers who take pride in their outdoor areas. (Expert gardeners are of course invited to take part too!)

Prizes:

1st prize: £100
2nd prize: £50
3rd prize: £25
Special category: Best sustainable garden: £50
Are you being even greener in the garden? Maybe growing your own fruit and veg? Or supporting biodiversity with wildflowers and wildlife (bug hotels, bird boxes, hedgehog houses)? If you are, then this category is for you!

How to enter:

We’d love to visit all the garden entries in person, but this may not be possible.
So, if you can, please enter by emailing us up to 5 photos of your garden.
If that’s not possible, just let us know you’d like to enter and we’ll come to you.

If you’re sending photos:

Please send up to 5 photos to communications@midlandsrural.org.uk with:
• a brief explanation of why you’re proud of your garden
• your name, address and phone number.

If you’d prefer us to come to you:

Please call us on 0300 1234 009 or email communications@midlandsrural.org.uk, letting us know your name, address and phone number.

The deadline to enter is Sunday 7th July 2024.

Ready, steady, grow!!
