Clean sweep for Broom!

Work has started on site in the village of Broom where Warwickshire Rural Housing Association is developing much needed affordable homes for local people.

Having gained unanimous approval for its planning application last Autumn, the Housing Association has ensured work on its first development in Broom has begun swiftly.

Five properties for affordable rent and one for shared ownership are being built in partnership with developers, Orbit and Linfoot Country Homes. These will comprise five two bedroom homes and one three bedroom property.

The development has been made possible through funding from Stratford District Council and the Homes & Communities Agency.

Development Officer, Neil Gilliver, said: “Broom is a very rural village in South Warwickshire where many people simply can’t afford to live.

“We’re pleased to be working closely with Warwickshire Rural Community Council and Bidford-on-Avon Parish Council to bring these affordable homes to the village.”

The development is due to be completed in March 2018
