New property inspections pilot launched

Property Inspection Image

In September, we introduced a new six‑month pilot to carry out planned property inspections in a small number of homes.

The aim of the pilot is simple – to help us look after our homes better by:
  • spotting issues such as damp and mould at an early stage
  • checking homes remain safe and in good condition
  • supporting residents where we see issues that could affect their health or wellbeing
  • improving how we plan future repairs and investment.
What this means for residents
  • Only a small number of homes will be included during this trial.
  • Not every Warwickshire Rural Housing Association resident will receive an inspection.
  • If your home is included, we will get in touch with you with clear information.
  • Inspections are about prevention and support, not blame or enforcement.
What happens next

The pilot will run for six months. We’ll review what works well, listen to resident feedback and decide how inspections could be used in the future.

If you’re included in the pilot, you’ll receive a letter/email explaining what to expect.
