Preferred Partner Success

Rugby Borough Council asked all RSLs who develop and manage affordable homes in the Borough to take part in a selection process to become one of the 6 preferred partners who they will work with over the next 5 years. We submitted a pre-selection questionnaire and were subsequently asked to make a formal presentation to Rugby Borough Council staff and Councillors based upon the benefits that the Association would bring to the residents of the Borough. This was followed by an interview process which further explored the work of WRHA.
Our track record of successfully delivering and managing affordable housing which helps to create and maintain sustainable and cohesive rural communities ensured that our bid was successful. We now look forward to continuing to work in partnership with Rugby Borough Council, their partners, and the rural parishes throughout the Borough to help provide more affordable homes for local people. WRHA already manage 30 homes in 5 villages across the Borough of Rugby and the development team are currently working with over 10 parishes to meet the proven need for in excess of 30 new affordable rural homes.
